Presbyterian Christian School celebrated a memorable Homecoming Week September 22–26 with the theme The Wizard of Oz. Students, faculty, alumni, and families joined together in a week filled with school spirit and traditions.
Each day of the week featured a creative dress-up theme, beginning with country and western attire on Monday for We’re Not in Kansas Anymore. Tuesday brought animal prints for Lions, Tigers, and Bears—Oh My! followed by superhero costumes on Wednesday for Have Courage. Thursday’s theme, Somewhere Over the Rainbow, filled both campuses with color as secondary students wore their Tribe T-shirts and elementary students dressed in grade-level colors. The week wrapped up with PCS Spirit Day on Friday, when students showed off their Bobcat pride!
On Wednesday, September 24, the Homecoming Maids helped welcome elementary students at morning carpool, then visited classrooms to lead a devotion on the fruits of the Spirit. Afterwards, they enjoyed a brunch at Crescent City Grill hosted by the senior Homecoming Maid moms. This year’s maids were freshmen Amy Bradshaw, Cecilia Duhon, and Cambry Jackson; sophomores Shelby Hoefler, Anniston Lowry, and Mallory Thieling; juniors Addison Harper, Harper Anne Miller, and Parker Papelbon; and seniors Milly Blair, Makenna Breland, Julianne Jordan, Hallie Jussely, and Hayden Shifalo.
Friday, September 26, was filled with celebration from start to finish. The day began with a tailgate breakfast and games on the practice field for the secondary campus, followed by a lively pep rally with performances by the cheerleaders and the Blue Blaze dance team, the presentation of the maids, and exciting student and teacher games. That afternoon, the Homecoming Parade at Tatum Park brought even more school spirit before festivities moved to the evening football game. Prior to kickoff, PCS recognized the inaugural recipient of the Distinguished Alumni Award, Dr. Benjamin Morris.
At halftime, the Homecoming Court was presented, and Julianne Jordan, daughter of Drs. Sara and Eric Jordan, was crowned the 2025–2026 Homecoming Queen. Special thanks go to Carter’s Collective Fine Jewelry for donating the crown and to Lee Cave at C Studios for capturing the evening. The week concluded with the Homecoming Dance, where the cafeteria was transformed into the dazzling Emerald City.
From creative costumes and colorful spirit days to honoring alumni and celebrating our students, PCS Homecoming Week 2025–2026 was truly unforgettable. Thank you to everyone who made this week possible and to our Bobcat community for reminding us once again—there’s no place like PCS.
