Pursuing Academics With Support

What is PAWS?

With a deep commitment to inclusivity and equity in education, our innovative Pursuing Academics With Support (P. A.W.S) program, aims to provide tailored support and resources to empower these students on their academic journey. By fostering a nurturing and supportive environment, we strive to help each student reach their full potential and thrive despite their learning differences.

The mission of the PCS P.A.W.S program is to provide a nurturing and inclusive learning environment rooted in Christian values, where students of varying abilities are supported, empowered, and inspired to reach their full potential and intellectual capacity to impact the world for Christ.

The P.A.W.S. Program focuses on equipping students with essential study skills, including test-taking, note-taking, and effective work habits, all of which align with their everyday classroom experiences. It is important to note that the P.A.W.S. program is not a tutoring service; we do not provide modifications to the current curriculum or to the requirements for completing each grade level. Instead, the program addresses the accommodations outlined by educational testing results and evaluations, which must be documented for each qualified student to develop a personalized action plan. Our aim is to furnish each student with the necessary tools to succeed on their individual college preparation journeys.
