PCS Announces Preschool Campus Transition

PCS is excited to share an important update regarding the future of our preschool program. As part of the ongoing Onward & Upward capital campaign, plans are underway to relocate the Preschool program from the First Presbyterian Church campus to the W.S.F. Tatum campus beginning with the 2026–2027 school year.

This transition will be made possible by the completion of the new multi-purpose facility, which will provide space for the Pre-K3 program and the remainder of our Pre-K4 program to join the rest of the elementary grades on the Tatum campus. Bringing our youngest students onto the main campus will allow them to benefit from additional resources while also creating a more unified school experience for PCS families.

Although the final completion date for the new facility has not yet been officially set, construction progress indicates a move-in target of fall 2026. To prepare for this transition, the Preschool campus at First Presbyterian Church will close in May 2026, allowing staff time to consolidate programs and prepare classrooms for the upcoming school year. During this period, temporary adjustments will be made, including the use of a temporary building for art and possibly music instruction.

Beginning on the first day of school for the 2026–2027 academic year, all Pre-K3 and Pre-K4 students will be housed on the W.S.F. Tatum campus. PCS will continue to offer half-day programs for both ages and will introduce a new full-day option for Pre-K3 students. Moving forward, all preschool students will attend five days per week.

“We are pleased with the progress of the multi-purpose building and are looking ahead to a fall 2026 move-in,” said Jimmy Messer. “While there will be some short-term adjustments, this transition represents an important step forward for PCS as we bring all students together on one campus.”

PCS remains committed to providing a Christ-centered, high-quality educational experience for students at every stage. This move represents an exciting step forward in serving our families and supporting the long-term growth of our school community.

Additional information regarding re-enrollment, including tuition and fees for the 2026–2027 school year, will be shared in early January. Families with questions are encouraged to contact the school office.
