Chapel + Tribes
Chapel Services
Living for Christ is the core of who we are at PCS. In addition to nurturing students academically and athletically, our school seeks to develop students spiritually. Classes are taught through a Biblical worldview, and students attend chapel weekly.
Grades K-12 attend chapel. Secondary chapel is divided into two groups: 7th-9th grade and 10th-12th grade. Every Thursday, students spend a period either in chapel or in their tribe. During chapel, students engage in corporate worship through singing praises and hearing the Word preached by pastors and leaders from our local community. These services encourage students to grow in their faith and apply biblical truths to their daily lives.
Impact Tribes
Each PCS student on the Secondary Campus is also a member of a tribe, modeled after the Twelve Tribes of Israel. When not attending chapel, students gather with their tribe—a coed, multi-grade small group led by faculty and staff members—to engage in Biblically guided discussions, build connections, and encourage one another in their faith. Tribes foster a sense of belonging, mentorship, and spiritual growth while also participating in friendly competitions throughout the year to strengthen teamwork and school spirit.
The Twelve Tribes of Israel originated from the twelve sons of Jacob, whom God later renamed Israel. These tribes formed the foundation of the nation of Israel and played significant roles in Biblical history. At PCS, our student tribes are inspired by these Biblical tribes, reflecting a legacy of faith, identity, and unity.
The Twelve Tribes and Their Biblical Significance
Each PCS tribe is named after one of these Biblical tribes, connecting students to this rich spiritual heritage and reminding them of their unique role in God’s plan. Just as the tribes of Israel had distinct callings yet belonged to one united nation, our PCS tribes each contribute to the greater mission of living boldly for Christ.

What Our Students Say
"Experiencing chapel and tribes is one of my favorite parts of the week. During chapel I am reminded to slow down and reset my mind on God, and during Tribes I get to think deeper about my faith and share with my peers. Chapel and Tribes have contributed so much to my spiritual growth and confidence in my faith!"
