Dear PCS Family,
We continue to make good progress in the search for our next Head of School.
The Search Committee, in partnership with our consultants at Southern Teachers, crafted a Position Profile that summarizes Presbyterian Christian School and our community and outlines the goals and responsibilities for our next leader. The Position Profile is designed to ensure that our Head of School leadership opportunity is presented and marketed effectively to the most qualified candidates.
Now that the profile has been up on job boards and distributed through our consultants’ networks for a few weeks, we have a strong group of candidates from which to choose. In building the candidate pool for PCS, our consultants benefit from their nationwide connections that bring insights and suggestions for our search. They interview and thoroughly evaluate candidates’ specific competencies and Christian foundation to ensure they fit the requirement of our school and community.
Some on our list are sitting Heads of School while others are “rising stars” deemed ready to take on a challenging leadership position. Our consultants reported that there is good interest in the PCS opening due to the school’s excellent reputation and mission. The search committee’s job now is to evaluate these candidates through structured interviews that will be happening before the holidays. Our goal remains to have a new head of school named this winter, but the search committee is committed to finding the right person, no matter how long it takes.
