CC@PCS! Tuesday Edition V.1, E. 28 – 4/25/2023

Happy Tuesday, Bobcats! We’re almost across the 2022-2023 school year finish line!

Things are BUSY this time of year, so color coding is here for you!

But before we get down to business, I’d like to share (for those who have not heard) that the Valedictorian for the Class of 2023 is Owen Massey! The Salutatorian is Travis Ashley! Both of these guys have cumulative averages of OVER 100, and we are extremely proud and excited to share this accomplishment with our community. A formal press release will follow this week, and the gentleman will represent our school at WDAM’s Top of the Class Celebration tomorrow at Jones College. Nicely done!

Now on to business:

SENIORS attending PRCC! Please see me for a new SCHOLARSHIP opportunity!

SENIORS! We are missing scholarship information from almost half of our Senior Class. Please, please, please…
1. Update SCOIR with your college decision!
2. Send your scholarship awards from ALL schools (not just where you are attending) to me or gsanderford@pcsk12.org
3. Please send your fun picture!

Please handle these items ASAP. You will not be allowed to pick up your cap and gown without sharing your college information (see the Graduation Checklist sent out on April 5th & attached).

SENIORS! Fees for your graduation cords will be drafted from your accounts on May 1st. Keep in mind that this is also the day on which you need to be cleared with the finance office for your graduation checklist.

ALL STUDENTS IN AP CLASSES! AP Exams are upon us, starting Monday! I have attached a testing schedule for you to reference (dates, rooms, schedule). If you know you have a conflict, please notify us ASAP! We will set up make-up testing days before the end of the year! Also, make sure you are utilizing AP Classroom on the College Board website to study! Practice Test review sessions for the 2023 tests have been posted! You will receive an additional email later this week with more details!

FRESHMEN (who are becoming sophomores): THANK YOU to the many who had scheduled meetings! Please schedule a Course Planning meeting to select your classes for next year with Ms. Miller (parents are welcome to attend) by clicking on the following link: https://calendly.com/smiller-131/30min

SOPHOMORES (who are becoming juniors) & JUNIORS (becoming seniors): THANK YOU to the many who have scheduled meetings! Please schedule a College & Course Planning Meeting ASAP! We will go over credits and make sure you are on track for graduation! We’ll also go over the requirements for the SCOIR platform for managing the college application process. I hope to meet/see each and every one of you over the next few months. Please try to schedule these meetings during study halls, elective periods, lunch, or breaks. 5/1 – Senior Financial Accounts must be clear!

5/1 – AP Government Exam!

5/4 – Ole Miss presentation for Juniors during homeroom in the Cafeteria!

5/5 – AP US History Exam!

5/9 – AP Language and Composition Exam!

5/10 – Senior Awards Day!

5/11 – AP Physics & AP World History-Modern Exam!

5/12 – Graduation Day!
